Santander debt sold to cabot

Options
Santander placed an interim charge on my property. Then sold the debt to cabot. I offered a settlement figure of more than half of the original figure. The solicitors said they will not put it yo cabot as they want the full amount because of the charge so I have emailed them direct awaiting a response. Anyone know how I fair in this

Is the debt solely in your name?

If yes and yes then I suspect Cabot will take the same view as their solicitor. But still worth a try.

Yes to both. The debt was £6970.24p. I offered a lump sum settlement of £4,000. Santander placed an interim charge, so I could theoretically still transfer it to my daughter as planned when the house was bought. The mortgage is nearly paid for.
