Anything I can do??

Had a private arrangement with my child’s dad to pay maintenance but due to a range of reasons around money and not being able to have a conversation about reviewing payments I contacted the CMS and now have a case etc. i have received the payment plan which states to start next month, I have not received this months payment. When i have asked, he says CMS starts end Feb and he’ll
follow that and not giving money this month

Should the existing payment remain in place until the new payments start next month 

Is there anything I can actually do!?

He should still be paying you but it sounds like he is put out that you opened a case. Did you tell him you were going to do this?

No as mentioned I cannot have conversations about money with him, and yes it sounds like he is put out because he can no longer control, this non payment is also a form of control. I’m not sure why the CMS didn’t put a January start date, the actually case went through quickly with being provided information etc. 

I received texts saying starting in Feb and also March, then a letter saying Feb - I think I’ll have to call them tomorrow to confirm and ask questions
