I was off sick last year a few times, after having a welfare meeting and another meeting to discuss my contract, occupational health, my manager has said that moving forward I can only have one sickness occurrence every 3 months, is this a rule that an employer can put in place?

I was trying to establish if you were the poster who asked for help a few weeks ago. My recollection was "took annual leave, had elective surgery, had a complication and was unable to return to work for several weeks". That was you? That's the 4 weeks post-op complication referenced above?3 -

34 days over 5 occasions would certainly trigger something under Bradford
I would leave it with the union0 -
Just my personal opinion but it does seem unusual to be worrying about how much future sick leave you can have rather than prioritising how to mitigate needing sick leave at all. It can come across like you see sick leave as an extension of your annual leave entitlement. I'm guessing that's how the bosses have seen it and that's why they've lost trust in you working from home because you are making yourself sound uncommitted. Needing adaptations is one thing but telling your bosses you want to know how much future sick leave you can have isn't a great look.3

Is it not a case of that if you exceed 1 day per quarter you'll trigger the excess sickness and find yourself subject to formal action again?Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
Make £2024 in 2024...0 -
