Aldermore Mortgage Application Timescales

Just wondering if anyone’s recently applied through Aldermore for a residential mortgage and what your timescales looked like?
We’ve just had our valuation done yesterday, not heard back yet and not had any hard searches added yet either. They seem to have done our valuation first by the looks of it before underwriting of any sort. We are FTB’s
Any input appreciated!
Thanks

We submitted one last week. Initial assessment was about 2-3 days, it then gets passed to an underwriter which was another 2-3 days.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Ours completed last week, but we had to make some last minute changes to the offer and it is still taking around 3 working days to assess things. I think the initial assessment was quicker, you might hear this week.
Then if additional bits are needed they take 3-4 days to be assessed.
Once everything is in, it then sits in another que (for another 3-4 days) to get final sign off by an underwriters.
2-3 days initial assessment.
3 days each time additional information is needed.
Valuation (different from area to area and surveyor to surveyor).
3-4 days to issue the offer.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Hi all, just wanted to jump on here and ask regarding the application.Application submitted 24.03.25
Valuation 28.03.25
additional info 28.03.25Now the lender has come back to broker to ask a few additional questions he said that they have come back very quick with the process so far which is good but have asked regarding one of my old existing dmp which was set up in 2020 and is up to date with no missed payments. all old debts are cleared and settled.Has anyone had any similar experiences or advice, the last thing I want is them changing it from a level 2 - level 3 (20%) as we currently wouldn’t be able to do.I’m a big ball of stress.0 -
It wont be a case of changing it from a 2 to a 3 by choice.
If it fits criteria on a 2, it will be a level 2 product you are offered.
