Wrong council tax code on new build

Hi, 
I live in a newbuild esate for 2years and I'm on a band E.
The exact same houses down the road from me are a Band D.
These houses are the exact same as my property but when I submitted a review of my council tax to my local council they said that the 3 properties aren't the same as mine

I also submitted around another 9houses within 0.5mils of my property... they replied saying my evidence has to be within 1/4miles of my property.....

I cant submit more evidence because there's no properties within 1/4miles of my house that's the same style/bedrooms.
Looking at the site plan they don't seem to be having similar styles houses as mine anytime soon.


Just need abit of help or advice if anyone can.
I don't believe our house should be a band E.

You should challenge it with VOA on the gov.uk site

Presumably you contacted the VOA rather than the council.


Are the Band D properties definitely identical to yours? Are there any other Band E properties identical to yours?


There is no rule which stipulates the distance away a comparable may be


You cannot make an official complaint to the VOA about your CT band, but you can complain if you think your request has been mishandled


As a last resort if you get no joy, you could ask your MP to look into the matter
