Hi to all,
I received a letter from Barclaycard to let me know that
they have defaulted me. It has indeed appeared on Credit Karma (Transunion).
I'm a bit confused by the letter. It acknowledges that I didn’t pay what I was
supposed to.
At no point does it ask for me to make contact or make any payments.
Indeed, it actually says ‘There’s nothing else you need to do…’
under the ‘We’re here to help’ paragraph.
I would be grateful for any advice here please.
Thank you.

Did you stop payments or were you making reduced payments? I got a letter like they when I was making payments with Stepchange, and then I had a letter saying the debt had been sold to PRA while Stepchange kept making payments.1

I had stopped. Haven't paid them anything since August. Prior to that I was paying the minimum payments and was getting hounded about being in persistent debt. My intention is a self managed DMP. Not using a charity etc.0

Then you can start making affordable payments if that is your plan.
They are supposed to issue a default after 3-6 missed payments, and have done so0 -
@fatbelly
Thanks for that. I was just a bit confused because it doesn’t say if they want me to make contact or if they will contact me, or if they’re going to sell the debt on.0
