Offers misleading at Morrisons

For the second time I’ve written to Morrisons over misleading offers.
latest one was 25% off Whiskas 12 pouch box.
i realised once I’d bought two boxes it was for only one box. Today an offer has appeared for 5% off wine, again, one bottle only. Hardly worth the effort.

You say misleading and not worth the effort, I say fair if a little stingy!  Its normal to have limits on numbers you can buy of an offer, it makes it fairer for everyone because someone can't come in and buy them all up.  As long as it says in the small print on the label then its perfectly legal and reasonable.

Certainly not worthy of a complaint IMO!

I have to say I agree with sammyjammy

It’s not misleading, limiting special offers can be fair. If someone saw 25% off Whiskas and emptied the shelves people would moan that it’s not really an offer as they have no stock. Also you say it’s not worth the effort? If you were buying the items anyway then there is no effort and you have saved money?

Assuming it says somewhere limited to one per customer then it’s perfectly legit

I wouldn’t complain at all but if it was my local shop, I would go back the next day and grab another pack ‘if’ the offer was genuinely cheaper than other stockists which quite often it isn’t

I agree that the offers are not misleading if the conditions are clearly specified.

However, Morrisons particularly seem to have this knack of running many, many types of offers at the same time with different basic structures leading to different Ts & Cs.   And in addition, any Ts & Cs specified in the small print on the back of their "till spit" vouchers are too small and too dense to read with any confidence, as well as being printed in unfavourable light green ink.

I agree with this -- I have normal eyesight (given that I wear specs!) and cannot read any of the guff they put on the back of those vouchers.

They absolutely have to be aware that these so-called terms and conditions are utterly unreadable, unenforceable and may even be an offence under Disability Discrimination Regulations.

I suppose their argument would be that they are not discriminating against people with visual impairment, because nobody can read them properly! :)

Morrisons in my experience do now often limit quantity on offers, in my opinion this is fair, stops a few people doing a raid and emptying everything.
