Minimum wage, is petrol allowance an expense or not?

Options
Hi I am an employed photographer for an estate agency. I am trying to work out if I am on a minimum wage or not. If I include the money I am allowed for petrol (which incidentally doesn't cover my costs) I am just over minimum wage if I don't I am under. How does this work?
Thanks

So are you saying they add a line on your payslip for fuel?

If you are using your own car you should be paid a mileage allowance not a fuel allowance last time I looked that was something like 43p a mile ( may be wrong but thereabouts)
I've never heard of anyone having 'an amount for fuel' in their pay

Yes, on my payslip it has my wages in one section and bellow separately is the fuel allowance, though I am taxed for both.

Ok so what does it say on your wages line?

I assume its "hours", "hourly rate" & then "gross pay". So what is the hourly rate used?

An amount of 200 is included in my payslip but I do not claim a mile allowance ie 45p per mile in excess of this.

Is that £200 included regardless of if you drive 10 miles or 1000 miles in a month.

Yes it's a flat rate though for instance I have done 787 miles which if it was at 45per mile would be £353.43 Invariably I use more than my allocation.

Yes though invariably I travel in excess of this amount . I have traveled 787 miles since 6th Jan to date which if it was at 45p per mile would work out at approx £353
