MonkeyKong007

can this be done?

my house recently set up a wireless network and itunes doesnt seem to work over it....

i looked in to it and apart from buying an expensive piece of apple equipment there didnt seem to be anything that could be done...

is this the case?

As I understand it, iTunes have DRM (Digital Rights Management) pretty much tied down so that you can only play iTunes-downloaded files on Apple's own iPod device.

A similar system will be in the next version of Windows Media Player by all accounts - it's all support for the legal downloading of music as against the illegal.

Go to the preferences and click on the "sharing" tab, then tick "look for shared music" and "share my music".

Then other peoples music can be accessed in the left hand source box.
