Wooden drawers - alcohol stain.

Options
Hello, please move this thread if its in the wrong place.

I have (stupidly) spilled some handwash dry gel on a chest of drawers and the stain has set and will no doubt be worse in the morning.

Could anybody please give me any advice on how to possibly remove it? Even if a professional varnisher/renovator is the best solution.

Very doubtful I'm afraid because the person involved is very private to the point of paranoia. I've found a number of a restoration place very close to us as I think its best its looked at professionally.

Worst case scenario is I replace it myself, the units are available. Expensive lesson! Thanks for replying.
  • Just put a doyley over stain.

Try a tthick paste of white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda. Once it dries out reactivate with more white vinegar.
Clean off after 24 hours and repeat if necessary.
