Can a Pension company extend my retirement date by years? My pension has changed companies over many years, I was able to login to the old Capita account and it states normal retirement age 2029 and the new company states 2032, Is this allowed?
Thanks

Can a Pension company extend my retirement date by years?yes. Legislation can trump scheme rules in many (but not all) cases.
e.g. the increase of the minimum retirement age from 50 to 55 and the forthcoming increase to 57 (and ultimately 58+)I was able to login to the old Capita account and it states normal retirement age 2029 and the new company states 2032, Is this allowed? If its defined contribution then it doesn't make the slightest bit of difference what the age is. Although it can mean certain investments get changed at a different date. If its defined benefit then it can make a difference depending on the early retirement factors.

You need to check the rules of your pension scheme. The administrator doesn't choose the NRA but maybe the NRA under your scheme is tied to the state pension age.
