Renewing

Hi, probably a silly question but just wanted to check. Our mortgage is due to renew later this year and we’ve been saving to pay some off. We’ll have roughly £180k owing and we want to pay about £40k off. Do we do this without penalty as the contract is out an end? And therefore remortgage with £140k mortgage?

Yes, you can pay what you want off once you are out of any fixed term etc.0
