Postcard entries safe?

How safe are the big channel (ITV etc) and other postcard entries?  I used to enter these by using an envelope and putting my details and reference on a business card inside but I don't know if they even open them.

I have a separate email and phone for competitions so I'm not so worried about the details being public, I'm more worried about spam and nuisance calls that'll spike my anxiety. My comp phone is always on and so far doesn't receive any spam calls, but IDK how long that'll last.

 I don't always enter postal competitions but when I do I put the postcard in an envelope. Hopefully they do open them.

Most of them only want a name and phone number so I just write them on the back of the envelope. Hope it works as that's much easier.
