Company sold my jewellery without my permission.

    First of all its not 'stolen goods' and secondly the police would not get involved.
    They've sold something that didn't belong to them. That's theft & the item has been stolen from the owner.

    Actually, since it's high value presumably you'd have had it insurance as a specific item on your house insurance, could you make a claim for the shortfall / legal expenses?

    The item has been sold due to some error made by the company. That is not theft  under any legal definition.
