Or is this it? I am waiting before I pay my last £800 to top up my pension forecast as it's a lot of money for me, but if 5 April is the last time, I'll pay now.

Why would 'speculation' help?
Speculation like they were going to scrap the pension tax free lump sum.....that worked out well for those that believed it and cashed in.0 -
People have had a 2 year extension to get their finger out and decide what to do. Why do you think it should even be considered extending it again ? The whole problem was caused by people leaving it to the last minute when the pre 2016 years exemption and 2023 cut off date was announced in 2013.
