Apprenticeship restart query

My son started a barbering apprenticeship in 2018. He left in 2019 as the workplace was toxic. Can he restart or would he need to start from the beginning?

    Given the time period, almost certainly start from the beginning. Even more so if the training provider (college, or other educational institute) is different.
