HI all

I would appreciate aby comments on this:-

I am WFH permanently due to a health issue. I completed (or thought I did!) P87 form on line (to claim tax relief on WFH) and received a letter from HMRC advising it was incorrect.

I rang the helpline and was advised that P87 was the correct form and to complete again enclosing proof I have to WFH ie my Occupational Health report

I have logged back in to complete again and attach the report. However, I cant see ANYWHERE where I have to tick a box to claim the tax relief for WFH? Its all about expenses for mileage, hotel stays etc. I think this is why it was refused before (as I didn't complete the form correctly ?)

Please excuse my ignorance if it is there - I just cant see it !

Could anyone advise which part of the P87 form I complete please ?

Have you tried reading the notes?

Section 7 would seem a good place to start.

Yes I have looked at section 7. I'm just not sure if they are looking for a figure ? I don't have a figure I just want to claim the £6 per week tax allowance allowable  for WFH

If you can't provide a figure then there's notjihg for you to claim.

    You need to claim online.

Read the following link to check if you are entitled to claim. The relaxation in allowing claims during Covid no longer applies.

Now you have to prove you are required to work from home.

Why £312, when nobody works 52 weeks a year.
