Dual Role Redundancy

My "role" as a Product Director has been put at risk of redundancy. Four months ago it was agreed that 2 days per week I would carry out a sales role. This may or may not have been formally agreed via email. I'm still searching through them. 

If I was formally notified of the sales role and they have forgotten to consider this, by only putting the Product Director role at risk have they failed to follow correct procedure? Would they have to put the sales role at risk also? I'm obivously reluctant to inform them of any errors in their procedure unless it's to my benefit.

The sales told is less than 50% of your time so you need to consider if it would make a difference as it is the major role at risk.

If it's simply a change in some of your duties (and it sounds as if that is the case), calling it a 'sales role' is probably neither here nor there.
