Henderson Rowe reviews? SIPP management

Hi all,

Looking for Henderson Rowe reviews after a disappointing experience with SJ*. Currently have about £600k in SIPP and 5 years from retirement.

Found them while researching alternatives - their website talks about institutional-quality investment strategies and technology-driven approach. Sounds interesting but honestly not sure what this means in practice, and there aren't many reviews online.

Current issues making me look elsewhere:

  • High fees eating into pension
  • Pushy sales tactics
  • Poor communication
  • Complex exit fees
  • Underperformance vs my index funds

From their website, they seem to:

  • Work with Rayliant Global for research
  • Do direct stock investing
  • Offer SIPP management
  • Claim to be more transparent about fees

But really want to hear from actual clients:

  1. What's their service actually like?
  2. How do their fees really work?
  3. Real performance experiences?
  4. What's their platform like?
  5. Any issues moving money if needed?

Also open to other suggestions for SIPP management - just want to make sure I make the right choice this time.

Thanks!

After being with one wealth management company and not being happy with them, is there a reason why you are looking at other wealth management companies and not other solutions (such as DIY or IFA)?

In general, wealth management companies are more expensive but can offer more specialist advice (e.g. trusts etc.), but if you do not need those things, then you end up paying more unnecessarily.   With a SIPP of £600k do you need specialist services or would more mainstream options be more suitable?
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

They sound like they will be expensive - do you need all that?  Why not go for a simple SIPP platform like AJ Bell (which I use and find excellent)?

You will not find many ( any ?) wealth company clients amongst the regular contributors to this forum, so you are unlikely to get any specific feedback about Henderson Rowe.
Many are managing their own SIPP's , although a few do pay an IFA, sometimes just for one off advice.

I would go so far as to say the ONLY wealth management clients we see on here are those who are looking for an escape route.

I very much agree...frying pan (SJP) into what might be the fire (HR).
And so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

I recall one or two hopelessly brainwashed SJP defenders on here before. Sometimes it's just too hard to leave the Matrix so you keep on taking the blue pill...
