My earnings are £230 in a year - very pleased at that, most is from switching energy supplier and an insurance.

Going goggle eyed at the posting about tax, its why I've come onto this board just now.... none of my purchases were anything to do with any work item - tho thinking about it, I do claim for some of my electricity etc because I'm self employed and work from home. But *I* use most of it! Anybody got any feedback? I guess I'm going to have to talk to my accountant.....

Hi, to clarify this point you need to inform your employers as you would not be able to receive personal benefit for a business transaction. For example, we don't allow staff to receieve Clubcard points or the like.

Furthermore, this is a taxable benefit and should be declared to the tax man and you will need to pay tax on it.

And how exactly do you do this? It is uncontrolable. Our drivers for example have a fuel cards for purchasing fuel and they will fill up at Tesco & Sainsburys to get points. I would never know whether they are or aren't getting them.
And anyway, for example in this instance it is better for us - if they do this, we pay for fuel less then if they filled up at the station near motorway.

hmm but isnt the cashback for using the supplier and not what you are billed?
so its more like a welcome 'bonus' and your billed amount is still as stated on the bills for tax purposes?

All I can say is: amazing idea.
  • Any help or advice with this issue from anyone would be much appreciated.

I have been signed up to Quidco for around a year now and never had a problem - until 3 weeks ago.

I came to log in to my Quidco account and it said username / password not recognised. I double checked and triple checked, finding this really odd as I log in most days, so I wouldn't have forgotten my password!

I used the 'forgot your password' link to type in my quidco linked email address (I have been through my email history and verified that this is the correct email address, as I have updated ticket emails from them and a welcome email). However, it says email address not recognised either.

I am really worried that my account has been hacked into, my email and username logins all changed and obviously the substantial amount of money I have pending will also have been diverted to someone else's bank account.

I have searched the 'contact quidco' links and can't find a telephone number at all - it allowed me to contact them and raise a ticket online without logging in, I had to enter my email address at the top of the contact form, however, other than an email sayng they have received my ticket I haven't heard anything back from them - this is well over 2 weeks ago now!!

Novembers payment is obviously lurking and I have still not heard back from Quidco, has this happened to anyone else??! What steps should I take now?!
Also, I should add that my password was so random, full of letters, numbers capital letters etc that I think it is highly unlikely that someone outside of quidco could have just guessed it....

Many thanks for any help anyone can give me!! Really worried now!

Many thanks, just sent PM and posted to Quidco thread. I can't see that they would have closed my account due to lack of activity - I had money pending with them all the way up to January and log in frequently, at the very least, once a week.
