Topping up SP - do it now or wait?

I topped up an incomplete year for my younger ex wife's NI when she wanted to retire super early at the same time as me going early. Sadly she is still alive. That wasted NI payment still bugs me. In this situation I'd be tempted to at least top up the £693 year or just do the whole lot to get it done. Depends how likely she is to go back into work.squirrelpie said:I would have thought that the main disadvantage would be that she is dead. Against that I would expect I and everybody else would not care one way or the other about a few thousand pounds in the grand scheme of things.1 -
All options expire 5/4/2028. You make a very good point on that cheaper year!DRS1 said:When does 21/2 expire? That is an obvious candidate for topping up but if you wait until 2030 it may not be available.0
