Morrisons Fivers - how do I redeem this?

I've recently gained a Fiver coupon on my Morrisons More Card app, which I've converted to spend in store, and the coupon is sitting on my Morecard homepage. But, I'm not sure how this works. Does it deduct the amount from the shopping bill, when I scan my More Card at checkout?
I bought some items yesterday, which totalled less than £5, and there didn't seem to be any option to use the Fiver to cover my shopping bill.
Does the shopping total need to be greater than £5 for the option to appear (or for the amount to be automatically deducted)?

If you’ve created the voucher, it should be redeemed automatically on the next shop. I can’t find It in the terms and conditions, but I think you may need to spend more than a fiver to use it. It’s not like a gift card where it keeps part of the balance for next time round.
All the information about redeeming it though is on the FAQ section of the app.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -

I bought some items yesterday, which totalled less than 5If you've "activated" the voucher and said you'd like to use it in store, it will be automatically applied at the checkout. You do have to spend over 5 pounds -- you don't get change back! And it will turn up very late in the checkout process, check your receipt to see that 5 pounds has been knocked off your goods total and the balance has come from card/cash/other.I preferred it when they were physical printed bits of paper, you could see them then ...2 -
OK, great. It didn't deduct the amount from my bill (I had to pay). But I imagine the total must be over £5 for it to work, so I'll try again with a bigger shop.1

I bought some items yesterday, which totalled less than 5I preferred it when they were physical printed bits of paper, you could see them then ...Not last time I tried, maybe they were having yet another one of their IT failures ... there was some irrelevant nonsense about doing something with an app (I don't use it) or some "activate this fiver to spend in store".My preferences for a long time had been set to _produce voucher at checkout_ and they used to auto print when you shopped and exceeded 5000 points. That preference vanished, you have to manually faff each time ...It's not such a problem as I hardly ever get to a fiver any more, with the encrapment of the points scheme in general, and lack of me actually shopping in the place!Edit: just checked, you are right, the option is shown again. Last time I did this, the option for "print your paper fiver at the till in store you luddite" had been greyed out and couldn't be selected. I opted for the mystery "load fiver to card to use in store or online somehow if it works" as the only way to redeem the thing.1
