What do you mean by “buy a ticket for free” ? You either buy, or something’s free.
They Sell a good number of tickets (across multiple competitions), sales pay for prize, which is only won by one competitor. Total Sales - (Prize value+Operating costs) = Profit

Yes they are genuine, I have won from a few of them as have a few others on here.

A Guardian article once "doffed its cap" to this forum as being the one place where consumers can collect together and fight back. Our job is to help keep it that way.

There are now many sites that exploit the "free" entry method to avoid the many regulations that would apply if they were properly licenced (which most couldn't get for the draws they run). They can make very good money for the people running them and there should be no need to "rig" the draws (apart from greed).

The free ticket is to get you interested. They hope once you enter the free draw you might buy  some tickets for the paid ones.

I've won from a few of them! They do the free draws in hopes that they will attract customers that will then enter the paid draws too, but you don't have to do that. It's all up to personal preference though.

100% genuine. I've won three smaller prizes over the last year. £25 and £25 credit which I turned into £200.

An old DJ friend of mine won the Elite christmas competition and his prize was a Mclaren sports car and a Range Rover or £145,000. He's taken the cars which I was taken aback at mainly due to upkeep for the Mclaren.
