I took my first flexible payment from my SIPP in October. Once it had gone through I put in the form to reclaim the over paid tax. I have been dutifully checking progress. The computer said it would be done by today. A little unusual on a bank holiday but I thought I would check. This is what I got.

Pisspoor coding, 01011970 is "date zero" in many older computer systems and will be the default if no actual date has been set.
Should never be displayed on anything customer facing, might be related to the year rollover although that should be irrelevant.

Wonder if HMRC have forgotten to load 2025 bank holiday dates into their systems.😂0

I am ok with it. My tax rebate from paying the money in took nine months and a complaint before it was dealt with so I am only just over two months in.0

Oh dear! A system so old & decrepit that it doesn't "do" 2025.

I was born at the end of 1969 so I was two months old on 1 January 1970. Not much memory of 1970 but was thoughtful of HMRC to think of my pension tax refund so early.0

It’s been fixed. Sadly I didn’t get a response by the suggested date.
