Xbox games pass - cheapest way

Hi all, i’ve got a subscription to an Xbox games pass for my son which is £14.99 a month. We also have £6.99 a month come out for Minecraft realms so he can play that with friends. I’m useless on all of this, but is there a cheaper way than a monthly subscription? Thanks in advance!

I buy discounted game passes from CD Keys, you can purchase multiple and load them all at once and they run concurrently.

A quick bit of reading suggests that Minecraft realms is a subscription-based game mode where your son essentially has access to a private server for him and his friends. Not sure if there's any way around that, unless he finds free public servers (of which the quality may vary, and could be a bad idea exposing him to random internet strangers).
For Xbox game pass, there's ways to get it for cheaper if you shop around. Plenty of scams too. Make sure you thoroughly check out any sellers before you part with your money.1 -
Thanks for the advice. We ditched the subscription and got a pass through CD Keys which is a lot cheaper. Wanted to update incase anyone else comes across this thread with the same question.1

There are many ways to get around it…like buying game pass from a different country and loading up via a VPN then upgrading to ultimate for £1. Not sure if that loop hole is still around.I get my sons game pass with my sim only phone contract from EE.0

£14.99 sounds like Game Pass Ultimate not plain Game Pass.Cancel GPU, buy 2x 12mth codes (usually about £40 each) for 2ys of GP membership from CDkeys or similar, redeem the codes then re-join GPU.You get a 2:1 conversion so 1yr GPU costs you £80 not £180.Avoid anything mentioning using cheap codes from another country via a VPN. This used to be great but Microsoft have got wise to it and are cracking down.0

The current best deal is to get three years worth of EA Play from Argos for £20 each (or Amazon if they get it back in stock), and a one-month Games Pass Ultimate pass for £13. You put the EA Play subscriptions on your account, and then the GPU one, which then converts the three years of EA Play to 13 months of GPU for a total of £73 - significantly less than the monthly or three-monthly prices.1

Game Pass Ultimate has just received a 50% price hike to £23 a month(!). A lot of people on recurring billing are about to get a shock. The EA play method above still works, but they've greatly reduced the rate of conversion. It is now a total cost of £83 for 231 days of Ultimate.
If you get 3 x 12 month Core codes from Loaded (formerly CDKeys) for £120, then upgrade to ultimate, you get 438 days of Ultimate for £143. A greatly reduced rate, but the best I can find.
With my sub about to expire, I'm simply not going to renew this time.1 -
