I know it isn’t for everyone and this is possibly a selfish view, but in my corner of the south east we never seem to get enough rain anymore and basically, from April through to late October now the sun just beats down relentlessly for month after month, any remaining patches of greenery around here that haven’t been built on are now just parched and dusty wasteland and everything just looks so dried out and damaged by this prolonged, punishing heat we experience now. It feels like the natural world in particular hasn’t caught up with this new normal and the wild animals are really suffering as a consequence. I’ve been so glad to see a bit of rain this last week, it is desperately needed around here. 

Appreciate that other parts of the country will have different experiences! 

Anyway, starting the month with 3/30 thank you v much cathybird.

@Season_of_Mist Nearly got washed away here in S Essex yesterday!

More to the point, 4 today please.  I'm away in Menorca shortly so the target might be a tad optimistic!  Still, as I haven't had a drink at all since March 2024, I wouldn't feel too guilty!

@RobM99 I think it was me who assumed you would have the same target as usual (one less than the days in the month) but if you are going to be away, feel free to change it! I was only guessing anyway. xx
