Declaring early for Monday too, 23/24 today please Cathybird.
I will stick with 24 for November, it does get trickier at this time of year because there seem to be lots of events/birthdays coming up, but I am slowly getting better at not drinking at social events, and not even really thinking about it... or not wanting to miss another AFD towards my target!3 -
Hi people Remember the song Amazing grace? Well now I can enthusiastically ,if tunelessly, sing along wholeheartedly with the line ''I once was blind but now I see '':)
Yep finally got my glasses, and what an enormous difference. They are strictly reading specs,so cant look across the room and see Mr Dusty's face its a bit blurred, nor the telly,,so off come the specs, then on again to look back at the laptop. I havent needed specs for about 15 years so I had forgotten all that kerfuffle but I'll soon get used to Going to buy a chain so I can wear the specs round my neck
One of the most difficult things was a couple of months of my phone screen being a complete blur so that I couldnt really use it. My kids were in kinks at the horrific spelling of my texts and gave up bothering,so this month has been an enormous reduction in texts which was fine with me.I am so not into social media
I;ll be back end of the month to post AFDs for October.,quite probably another AF month,4 in a row I think. I may have to be AF forever. They still cant find out what's wrong with my blood. The red cells are low despite B12 jabs and folic acid and another drug to try to pack my blood. What cells I do have are too big too fat to get into cells where they are needed,so I am continually weak and gasping for breath I was to have a back op but the surgeon was suspicious about my blood and decided not to do the op. 77 yr olds with pernicious anaemia that refuses to respond to treatment are not to be tinkered with unless in an emergency so I just have to cope with the back issues despite obvious degeneration. I have learned to cope anyway after 60 years dealing with my arthritis so I'm not bothered. Was worried about what would happen with Mr Dusty after my op and recuperation so thats one issue off my brain.
They ruled out pancreatic cancer, and probably coeliac disease (though they are going to do more tests about that) but personally I think it is heart failure,I can tick off all the boxes and I remember my sister who had that conking out and almost dying on the table during a procedure. I suspect my surgeon had something like that in mind when he decided not to operate. All the symptoms I have been putting down to to pernicious anaemia also could be heart failure,so who knows. Dusty keeps on plodding.

Good to hear from you @dustydigger and your post was immaculately spelled so the new glasses are definitely working! 🤣
👏👏👏 for you @Vanlady. 😊
Well done @maggiem on reaching your target with time to get a few more AF days in. Don't knock your achievements, all AF days count.
Thanks for adding me to the list for November @cathybird. We're away next week so I will be getting off to a slow start but hope to catch up when I get back.

Evening folks,
2/6 AFDs please cathybird.
Had a really busy day, but enjoyed a small glass of tonic water with minty/lemony cordial at 5.30pm.
Im only 2 days in, but doing this challenge is really making me more aware.
Enjoy your new glasses DustyD, I'd be lost without mine.
