@redofromstart I normally try not to waste food but I make an exception for wine, not that I have it in the house much these days, but if I do, once I have had a couple of glasses I would much rather discard what's left in the wine bottle than put it back in the fridge. The only exception is if the following day is also a planned drinking day but that doesn't happen that often. There are many, many people who drink more than they should because they assume the bottle should always be finished. Just my thought

Yes Cathybird I completely agree.  I have poured the rest of the bottle down the sink rather than telling myself I am keeping it for cooking.

Nothing I will drink left in the house now at least.
