Morning all, so I've sat down with my cuppa and done some quick life admin. What i say next some people may or may not agree with.

Ive taken out a new credit card with a 0% transfer fee, I know i know before people lecture me. BUT the reason why is my one credit card APR is 37%! Im going to transfer the balance of that straight onto this new credit card, it has a transfer balance offer of 6 months. So I have no choice to sort myself out or be back at square one.

They approved me straight away which I was a little shocked with at first, but its made me realise that I need to get my bum into gear NOW! Not tomotrow, next week.. but NOW!

  • If you are paying 37% on your CC and you now have a 0% one it was absolutely the right decision.  I would set a fixed amount to repay each month ideally to get it repaid within the 6 month deal period.

So as it stands my CC debt

    Jaja - £796.66/£900 APR 37.7%
    Zable - £1210.11/1300 APR 37.9%

Ive opened the new CC with 0% offer and awaiting for that to arrive, it has a credit limit of £1200. Any advice which would i should pay first? The higher one? Or the lower one? The APR on both is crazy. So as soon as both have been paid off im going to freeze the cards doe a while or just get rid of them completely.

  • Get rid of zable.  The interest rate is marginally higher and it’ll give you a boost having just one 0% credit card and one with a three figure balance.

Agree, I think it's a good idea to move to 0%. Make sure you close Zable after transferring to remove the temptation to use it again.
