Freezing iced Christmas cake

I wouldn't bother. If the packaging is unopened, then I think the cake is likely to last a good deal longer than the end of Jan. If it is opened, then I would just wrap it in foil, and store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.Sealed Pot Challenge no 14

I was about to start a similar thread.
For the first time I made my own cake; but as it fell apart a bit, I didn't get to successfully ice it. I just decorated half with marzipan
Mine is in an airtight tin, and also wrapped in paper and greaseproof.
Will this last in the same way of I leave it like this?
How long if I freeze some with no marzipan or icing etc?
Im not particularly bothered about the texture once it's defrosted, if it would freeze for longer. I'll eat it like Christmas pud, with custard or cream. I just don't want to be eating all this on my own.
First time making one and I've never bought one.
It's vegan if that makes a difference to the texture.
