    Thanks @beanielou !

It’s been a weird week, struggling with health symptoms and also health anxiety. I managed to see a GP and now I’m waiting for a hospital referral for further tests.

I also had an awkward run in with a neighbour. Their dogs were incessantly barking whenever we left the house. They had been left out all day and it meant I couldn’t use the garden because of their constant aggressive barking by my fence. My poor dog was scared too. I went over to politely ask if they could prevent the dogs barking at my fence and it didn’t go down well! The neighbour was defensive, rude and called me a name. Very awkward and unnecessary.

Anyway on the bright side all I have spent money on this week is groceries and £8.50 on the train to commute to work once. I have kept up with focussing on eating more fruit and veg (although I didn’t track it daily so I’ve forgotten what I had now!) but I did have lots of smoothies, raspberries, salad etc.

Next week I think we will buy less fruit and veg at the start of the week but then do a little top up mid week because we found it quite hard to not waste food this week.

Tonight I’m resting at home, watching a film and eating popcorn. I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

I was quite shocked with the neighbours reaction. It was a reasonable request, I was polite, and we have helped them out in the past looking after their cat when on holiday etc. On a positive note their house is for sale so let’s hope they get a sale and are gone quickly!

I slept awfully last night worrying about all sorts, health etc but I managed to have a nap this afternoon. Today I met up with my brother to celebrate Father’s Day (my dad died 10 years ago). We had a lovely day going on a little walk and then to a food festival. I just spent £4 on soft drinks for me and brother.

My mum then came over to see me and brought me flowers, which was really nice and I was feeling a lot less anxious after.

My only other spend for today was a £5 charity donation to a friend who is doing a Father’s Day run in memory of her dad. The cancer charity was for the same cancer that my dad had, so the donation was made with him in mind today.

I can’t believe it’s only Tuesday! I had a long day at work yesterday finishing at 7.30, then I just chilled out and watched tv in the evening. It was a NSD 😊.

Today I was in the office and spent £8.50 on the train. It was a difficult day in the heat and I ended up spending almost 4 hours on hot trains 🥵. The heat is also doing my arthritis no favours. Glad to be working from home the rest of the week.

Meals for the past 2 days have been the exact same-

Brunch - hummus bagel with spinach salad and cucumber (2 portions)

Dinner - chickpea curry with pepper, cauliflower and potato. And naan bread (2 portions)

I also had snacks of crisps and biscuits. Not the healthiest few days but I feel a bit like I’m in survival mode at the moment!

I’m looking forward to having a nice smoothie tomorrow morning.

Another NSD today. I don’t have a lot to report at the moment! But whilst I’m unwell I’m spending most of my time at home which at least means not spending money. I’m looking forward to August when my new mortgage fixed term starts, and I can start making more mortgage OPs.

    Meals today

Breakfast - banana, mango, papaya and pineapple smoothie with pumpkin seeds (4 portions)

Lunch - hummus on a bagel with a big bowl of salad and cucumber (2 portions)

Dinner - pasta and vegetarian meatballs with peppers, peas and carrots (3 portions)

We are getting another grocery delivery on Friday and I’m determined not to do any top up shops in between, so we are just using the last bits of food at the moment which means my meals are not very imaginative.

I hope everyone is managing to keep cool in this weather.

Yesterday we spent £64.67 on groceries for the week. Also spent £10 on alcohol which will come out of personal spends. We bought lots of frozen fruit for smoothies, salad, mushrooms, courgette, peppers, strawberries etc. and I will hopefully hit my minimum of 5 fruit and veg per day this week which I have been doing well with up to now.

We have £161.78 left in the grocery fund to last us until mid July. That should be 2 weekly shops of around £70 each plus two top up shops of £10 each. This seems manageable.

Last night we had homemade pizza with olives which was delicious. I then had a very relaxed evening reading my book and playing on the switch. I feel so unmotivated in this weather. I’m suffering badly with my joints so I’m very much looking forward to some cooler temperatures next week. Plans for today are to potter around the house, read more of my book and try to keep cool.

    Meals yesterday

Breakfast - banana, pineapple, mango, papaya smoothie with almonds (4 portions).

Lunch - hummus salad sandwich and a packet of crisps (1 portion)

    Dinner - pizza with olives

    Snacks - ice lolly
