Get yourself a small bottle of rescue remedy (sorry, it's not cheap!) but a few drops on the tongue when you think panic might set in does wonders. It keeps for ever as it is alcohol based.
Some years ago I flew with a friend to Italy. Just as we were about to take off she muttered 'This is when John holds my hand 'cos I get so nervous!' I am not quite the happiest flyer so I told her we would both have to have rescue remedy now ! Catastrophe averted.
When travelling just make sure you have enough 'spare' time- time to sit/stand & catch your breath.
You can always ask other travellers for help- they won't all be foreigners. (In UK! & in Holland almost everyone speaks perfect English.)
Nice to learn a couple of phrases
Thank you: Dank u wel

I couldn't have predicted this! Your circumstances are extreme, and I wish you both well.onashoestring2023 said:
no its not possible at the moment, my bother suffers from a extreme Hoarding disorder and other mental health issues, I'm working with the mental health team and following their care plan which means for now i have to keep to my own space and he keeps to his, when we cleared out the room that i am now staying in, he had a mental breakdown which was hard for him to come back from, so I'm following his health teams lead.Rosa_Damascena said:I'm going to have to ask - given you are living under the same roof, wouldn't it just be easier to share a kitchen and perhaps meals with your brother? No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.7 -
thank you, its been very intense few months, but he has an amazing care team around him, we are just trying to make the best of it right now, its alot harder than i first thought it would be, I'm very house proud in the normal sense that i like to keep a very clean and tidy home, whereas he is also house proud, as in he is proud of his collection of stuff, where i see it as junk and rubbish he sees as his life line, its very hard.Rosa_Damascena said:
