I'll come back in a week or two and hope the dust has settled, it's just madness at the moment.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.2 -
How come when my first direct RS matured I only got half the expected interest? Smells like a scam!3

If so it’s correct.
I bet you are working it out at 7% on £3600.
Not 7% on £300, The month 2 £600, etc,etc.
Only month 12 had £3600 @ 7%.1 -
I know that @Bridlington1 is going to do an amazing job at maintaining the Regular Savers Threads and providing us with all information required, and I personally thank you for all the hard work and effort that you have and will continue to put into it. It’s mainly due to you that between my husband and I that we now have 36 regular savers between us.
I also agree with what @Bridlington1 said, in that no-one should have interfered without giving time to see how the new set-up worked and any suggestions or queries be addressed directly to the OP. I personally would be most unhappy if after agreeing to take a thread over someone else set up a new thread with no consideration for the OP and would be thinking “why am I bothering”.Once again I thank you @Bridlington1 and fully support you.34 -

In this case, I think that would’ve avoided the problem that has arisen.
Especially given @Bridlington1’s explanation that anyone can post in the no chat thread, which as itself functions as an easy to read archive (as it isn’t full of discussion), I see no reason why this can’t work like the Easy Access threads so diligently maintained by @soulsaver. Seems to be the same kind of set up, and that has worked well IMO!
I hope that this thread can now be re-railed to serve its intended purpose, rather than the chaos that the disruptor thread has causedIf you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.
N.B. (Amended from Forum Rules): You must investigate, and check several times, before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my content, as nothing I post is advice, rather it is personal opinion and is solely for discussion purposes. I research before my posts, and I never intend to share anything that is misleading, misinforming, or out of date, but don't rely on everything you read. Some of the information changes quickly, is my own opinion or may be incorrect. Verify anything you read before acting on it to protect yourself because you are responsible for any action you consequently make... DYOR, YMMV etc.26 -
Bridlington1,I rarely post on this forum, but I read every day the information on Regular Savers. You explained clearly from the start how you would run these threads, and a third thread is not needed. I hope you are still as committed as you have been to continue as you intended, as I find your contribution invaluable and I will only be seeking out to view your two threads which are more than perfectly adequate.Thanks,Andystriker14

I fully 100% trust Bridlington1 to make the two thread system work .... it looks like many others do too. As Hinchandrossi said ... no need for an apology ... you've got my vote!16

Well, it's all rather kicked off in these parts, hasn't it? Who knew RSs were so exciting?!

(* said from a 'if you didn't laugh, you'd cry' point of view, given the unnecessary chaos that has been created...)
I sincerely hope that @Bridlington1 doesn't take (entirely justified, IMO) umbrage at events, and continues as planned, with their invaluable, not to mention considerable efforts. for the benefit of all.
(along with the many other excellent contributors, in the past, and hopefully future, I hasten to add).12 -
