My sources are telling me Principality plan to launch a Christmas 2026 RS shortly (most likely next week).
Rate and max pay in are TBC.37 -
It doesn't show when you are logged in. I've applied as a new customer, it's very quick, just usual personal details, open t&c documents, tick boxes and you are inAidanmc said:So we can't apply for the Monument RS though existing Newcastle BS online portal?

Online application link is live for those who know how to find it, so likely in the next day or so.Bridlington1 said:My sources are telling me Principality plan to launch a Christmas 2026 RS shortly (most likely next week).

I've had previous accounts closed for altering application links with principality before so not worth it for me to open to find out details sooner then Principality want to announce it publicly.2 -
Indeed, that's the source I used. In my experience links go live about 5 days or so before launch IIRC.Cweb said:

Worth noting however that in the past those who have opened accounts with Principality before the day of launch have found they could not make deposits into their accounts until the day the account was officially launched (in the meantime their money was stuck in transit earning no interest whatsoever) but the maturity date was the anniversary of the day of application.
In other words there is nothing whatsoever to gain from applying now, you won't even find out the interest rate till the first deposit has landed.

Newcastle Monument
I applied online (not app) as new customer but the new account isn't showing when I log on. Did those that can already see the new account apply via online or app, please? I did receive an email saying application received.

Applied as a new customer even though l already have 2 NBS accounts. And when l logged on with my original details, the Monument was showing.
From applying to showing was around 1 hour or so.4 -

And if curious as to what happens if you do open the account early, see the post below in the previous version of this threa:Cweb said:
Method has been mentioned before - nothing to gain from it and could lead to getting told off but if you're that curious there is over 700 pages to go searching through to find the answers71hj said:Go on, put our little community in the know!!!
