I can’t from mine (RS or other TSB savings account). This is in the app. Not sure whether online would be the same

But yes, I could go into a branch ……. it just seems much easier to keep a current account

I (we?) were discussing the Co-op........
Yes, we were specifically talking about the Co-op regular saver and whether it could exist as an "orphan" without a current account.

But it's useful to know what the situation is with other accounts too.

I vaguely remember reading in the T&Cs for Natwest and RBS digital regular savers that you can close the current account but can subsequently only withdraw money in branch.

    The Vernon……couple of questions if I may…….
    1) My RS is due to mature today (30th). No activity yet so will that be overnight tonight or sometime during the day?
    2) Are transfers out to an external account same day?

    TIA.

    Co-Operative RS

So I have now got the CA opened. And have applied for their RS and been approved for that. More waiting now for it to appear on the app or online. How long does that take?
Don't hold your breath, co op are slow unfortunately, I m not holding out hope for funding this month having got my received your application last Friday
Hoping to fund this month too, but they seem v slow.

Why not try phoning them up? They may be able to give you your a/c number. I got my account number from Manchester BS over the phone about 5 minutes after applying online (I'd phoned them about something different)

Manchester BS have returned my deposit paid from my second nominated account. Second because I hadn't realised deposits can only be made from your nominated account.  I've had two codes in the post to verify my nominated bank account details, and the second account was verified before I made the deposit.  Maybe it's just not meant to be, certainly the temptation is to just forget it.
This happened to my partner too - we checked what the account details were showing on the web-site - both accounts were visible.  We sent a £10 deposit from both "nominated accounts" - one was accepted and the other rejected again, so we now know which nominated account is "active" and we'll check the account details for any change before sending further deposits next month.  Fortunately, ManchesterBS returns rejected deposits on the same day.
What interests me is that the NewcastleBS system does NOT demand deposits from a nominated account - is Manchester pioneering? Will Newcastle be introducing the same requirement?

Due to the timing, hoping to make a payment for September, I rang them this morning. He had already discussed my email with a colleague and could only say it was an IT issue and they will ring me when resolved.  I can clearly see on the website that my first bank account is still the active one, so I could send a payment from there.  Might do what you did and send one from each of the accounts, that's a good idea, as you say it does come straight back.
