Yes, it can be closed without penalty up until 2nd October.liamcov said:Has anyone closed/withdrawn from the Coventry Loyalty Seasonal Saver since the rate reduction at beginning on month? What is the best way to do this to ensure the 30 days interest isn't deducted etc?
I'm closing mine in the next few days.
Please can I ask - I've got the Coventry regular saver 6 at 4.15% - can that be closed early???Aidanmc said:

The Coventry seasonal saver I have listed as 4.90% is that still correct?
I've just been putting in minimal amounts into both but the amounts would be put to better use.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
My Coventry Seasonal Saver is paying 5.25%. It is a Loyalty one so may be that's the reason for the difference.mhoc said:Aidanmc said:

Yes I can understand that, the 4.15% would annoy me as well.
The Beverley 5.5% would annoy me as well, that's why it's not being opened by me. It would get shown up by all the others that provide a better return.3 -

Anyone's £50 RS restrictions cleared please yet?
Nope. Opened Saturday, passed the 'Mitek' verification straightaway and still waiting... I've been with YBS for a number of years and have quite a few savings accounts already, FWIW.And still stuck at the starting gates for this one. I did send YBS a message about not being able to deposit due to 'restrictions', to which YBS responded:"I have had a look into your account and it shows the account is going through some further checks.Under regulations for the prevention and detection of financial crime, we have a responsibility to verify the identity of each applicant before opening a new account, even existing customers." (!)More than five days after applying (as an existing customer), YBS have 'allowed' me to deposit as of this afternoon. I note the 12-month term begins from the date of application, rather than the date of the first deposit. I hope this is useful for someone.4 -
5.5% is higher than my EA savings accounts, so I have gone for it.subjecttocontract said:Yes I can understand that, the 4.15% would annoy me as well.

I've been trying to set up a payment to a new Beverley Reg. Saver.
I have the bank sort code as supplied (NatWest) and an odd account no. 00000000.
I input those details to my bank and then my 10 digit account number.
COP recognised the name on the account but registers an error in the account number.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.Digital Payback

Well it's hardly easy access. I thought that if you withdraw money from the account..... doesn't the interest paid stay at 1% ?Stargunner said:
