Speaking of Nationwide, do we really need at least 3 recently active separate threads about their regular saver?, in addition to the chat about them here😏

I do see a benefit of 1 separate thread but do we need several?

    Beverley BS RS I1

I applied very early this morning and had a referral.  Around midday received a call and had a very pleasant conversation with a member of staff, who was very helpful, to resolve my particular issue.  I own my own domain name so create unique email addresses for each organisation.  The Beverley lady explained that the online system is new to them and it didn't like my domain name.  For some part to work it needs to be a known domain name, such as yahoo, hotmail, etc et al.  This is interesting as the login system is I think the customisable system that Newcastle BS have created, I think.  But the issue could be with the online application system I used as a new member.

Any way, I received some emails to my own domain and then after the call emails to the big provider email.  Was able to log in to get the account details.  Then did the transfers, with COP, so sent full £150.

As a double check prior to the transfer I wanted to independently check Bev BS's details and found this HMRC list :

    specifically for Bev BS :

So overall, very pleased.  Another new BS to add to the collection, and one I've been looking at for a while.

In the application I noticed that is is possible to have interest either added or paid away.  I selected to add.  I'm just wondering if anyone noticed if this can be changed to pay away to nominated though the website ?  If over the years the interest remains good, a fair amount could be accumulated with interest paid away and keeping the bonus.

N.B. Not all details there are up to date - for example bath’s details are out of date

    Vernon BS Online RS Maturity

I've received an email telling me that on the 30th of this month they will add the interest and transfer everything bar  £1 to an EA.

I'd like to get £250 back in on the 30th and also do my usual £250 on the 1st.  Can I do that or am I stuffed because I've already put £250 in this month ?  Can I just transfer £250 or £249 back in from the EA account ?  Or if I can do another £250/£249 in on the 30th, from my external nominated account ?

Did anyone notice what time of day the interest is added and balance transferred to the EA ?  Hoping it happens early in the day, so I can try transfers during working hours.

I'm wondering if I call, I could ask for £250 to be transferred back on the 30th.  Has anyone had success with this ?

    Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't the rate be likely to update at some point though?, baring in mind it's a new account & you only just deposited your 1st amount

I think it will only show 6.5% after December 31 this year, provided I made all the monthly deposits. We shall see

So I guess it won't show 5.5% or whatever it will be until New Year???  I've never seen this practice before, except Harpenden BS ISA which I didn't go for.  I'm still undecided whether to apply or not.  I've had several open-ended RSs.  One of them (Coventry) lasted me for about 14 years because the rate stayed competitive, I think I had somewhere around £65k in that account when I closed it.  Others tend to drop their rates to as low as no longer acceptable pretty soon.  I normally grab any available RS paying above my EA accounts, but this offer from Beverley is is a bit awkward.  Too many "noes", the starting rate is not great and the exit is tricky.
