Is the collective thinking that as YBS have a 5.05% RS that they won't be launching anything else for savings week? I was hoping for 7% or maybe 8% (considering it's on a low monthly deposit amount)..

YBS £50 regular saver. 

I saw that people were talking about how much interest their matured account generated a few pages back. Mine was £27.08

I know it isn’t a very exciting post, but I'm still new to all this.

YBS £50 regular saver. Mine matured today but I can't take the money out!

I tried the app, and I can see the acct is now a different acct with the interest of £26.53 but the app doesn't allow you to close it, it says go online, however the online login isn't working, I've tried multiple times over the past 3 hours but can't get past first login screen. Tried different browsers, tried going to website manually rather than my bookmark and also tried going via the link in the help, all result in an 'error processing' message. Even tried their report an issue button which gave the same error. 

Anyone else having issues with YBS online today, or has anyone successfully got their maturity funds today, so I know whether its just me  :'(

Mine matured today and I have sent a payment to my Bank account bar £1 to leave the YBS account open. Worked fine and expecting the funds to land around 9am tomorrow (normal for YBS). Did this around 06:30 today in the App (iPhone).

I was able to close my matured RS in online banking an hour ago. Just logged in again and the YBS site is working fine

@Snapdragon, both myself and my husband have closed ours this morning online using Safari on an IPad.

Hey Snapdragon, YBS is working fine for me although I did have a problem yesterday, but once I temporarily disabled Nord VPN it worked fine, not sure if this is of any use to you!

It does say on the YBS website the number to call if you're having difficulties which is 0345 1200 100

Don't fret, you'll get there in the end but I feel your frustration, it is annoying when this happens, you're not alone!

My YBS app was glitchy this morning - had to re-register.  I transferred the monies to an existing saver account which already had my external account set up. Got £27.08 in interest, spent it already!

When I spoke to them they said they were going to be launching a £50 RS, with it being promoted between the 22nd and 25th with similar terms to last year but as of yet they don't know what the interest rate shall be or the exact date of launch.

I'm noticing that these are far lower than Monmouthshire's current offering. Any idea whether they started at a decent rate and dropped off, or has the rate stayed fairly stable in line with the base rate? (Just trying to second guess what might happen with the current 6% and 7% accounts - although as both have unlimited withdrawals I can just pull the money out if they slash the rate too much.)

MBS have offered a string of lower rate regular savers so the ones you quote weren't decent rates to start with.

Their Exclusive RS launched in 2024 started off at 6% and has since fallen to 4.9% though.
