I guess once I empty my YBS it's probably worth 🪟 another account with YBS and keeping a £1 in or does just being a customer on there database be enormous for any future prone loyal products?
Yea keep at least 1 account with £1 in an account to remain "Loyal", something may come up in future that's worth applying for but their/Mitek? security may reject you despite being loyal & with them for several years etc.

I keep at least £1 (or whatever the minimum is with easy access etc, Saffron is £10, Cambridgeshire is £100) with several banks, building societies etc just in case something worthwhile comes up, hense why I'm eligible for the recent Skipton, Monmouthshire etc straight away.

Loyalty accounts usually mean you having an account for at least a year so quicker you fund an account the quicker you'll be eligible for anything that comes up.

Just withdraw all but £1 of the £50 eSaver balance when it matures. The account will have been open for a year (as per their recent emails) so you’d automatically qualify for any Loyalty offering rather than having to run another 1 year clock down.

Saffron BS's Small Saver can be opened with £1 and allows 1 withdrawal/mth, I've been using this for membership since 2022 (can ask them to restart the account term whenever you like so I've kept the same account number throughout), alternatively they have an EA account that can be opened with £1 to maintain membership.

Cambridge BS also have a First Saver (under 21s only) with a min balance of £1, which matures into a maturity account with a £1 minimum balance (this is how I got membership).

Sadly I'm 40, don't have branch access etc, I'm happy with my £10 Saffron Easy Access account or whatever they call it, it's there for if I close a regular, or a regular matures, I just instruct them to transfer all funds to that account and the result is I don't get any extra poopy accounts being created, it's all nice and easy for me with them generally speaking.

I haven't bothered with small saver for ages, kept having to get them to change it because they kept releasing new versions 🤣.

Only tend to be with Saffron for members month regular these days & to scrape off the 3p or whatever from the easy access every month.

In terms of Cambridge I'd rather have less money stored with them, partly because they don't seem to do app &/or online applications & the best they seem to do these days is 6% for a regular saver.

Think Cambridge used to do 3 regular saver products so a standard one as well as the 2 they have now, so a 5% & 6%

I can only remember the standard one being offered for something like a year, but they’ve had two loyalty tiers for as long as I can remember, 1 year and 3 years. I never had the standard one as it wasn’t worth it to me but I did have the Reward RS in 2021-2022 (then 3%) as I was at that time ineligible for the Extra Reward (then 5%.) I’m now on my second Extra Reward and was able to renew via maturity option rather than posting off for a new one.

I’m happy enough with the Your Saver for £100 (no choice at my age.) It’s better than what I had originally as the Your Saver wasn’t on sale then. The only annoyance is that having the interest paid away wipes out the allowed withdrawal for that month. Still, it shouldn’t be an issue now that Halifax have pulled the free fivers.

    Monmouthshire BSRegular Saver Issue 4CUnlimited3.40%V£0£350
    Monmouthshire BSRegular Saver Issue 5CUnlimited3.40%V£0£350
    Monmouthshire BSRegular Saver Issue 6CUnlimited3.40%V£0£350
    Monmouthshire BSRegular Saver Issue 7CUnlimited3.40%V£0£350
I'm noticing that these are far lower than Monmouthshire's current offering. Any idea whether they started at a decent rate and dropped off, or has the rate stayed fairly stable in line with the base rate? (Just trying to second guess what might happen with the current 6% and 7% accounts - although as both have unlimited withdrawals I can just pull the money out if they slash the rate too much.)

Is the collective thinking that as YBS have a 5.05% RS that they won't be launching anything else for savings week? I was hoping for 7% or maybe 8% (considering it's on a low monthly deposit amount)..

    YBS £50 regular saver.

I saw that people were talking about how much interest their matured account generated a few pages back. Mine was £27.08

I know it isn’t a very exciting post, but I'm still new to all this. :)
YBS £50 regular saver. Mine matured today but I can't take the money out!

I tried the app, and I can see the acct is now a different acct with the interest of £26.53 but the app doesn't allow you to close it, it says go online, however the online login isn't working, I've tried multiple times over the past 3 hours but can't get past first login screen. Tried different browsers, tried going to website manually rather than my bookmark and also tried going via the link in the help, all result in an 'error processing' message. Even tried their report an issue button which gave the same error.

Anyone else having issues with YBS online today, or has anyone successfully got their maturity funds today, so I know whether its just me
