Trying to print a copy of the application form via the one link that has been posted so far is beyond my technical capabilities. Do you have a normal straightforward link? I'm not too bothered about getting a first deposit in this month. TIAHattie627 said:WillPS said:2 x MonBS Branch Saver applications submitted, in hope. You can change the nicknames on Chase. For instance I have renamed my payees as Principality 6 month issue 3 etc., so I don't need to check reference at all.Kim_13 said:
Nationwide is the best of them, as they are set up as entirely different payees with the nickname field allowing for easy differentiation between them.flaneurs_lobster said:

Is there a way to have both set up with the different reference numbers ?
Do you have another current account you can use (if not, why not)?
I use FirstDirect and Chase to fund these multiple same account/different reference savers, I'm sure other accounts allow it too.
With Chase I’ve ended up with both of two payees (Skipton RS and Skipton MBS) but having to select the payee to see the reference and work out which account it is (once ending in a mistake and the accidental overfunding of the RS and a wait for the payment to be sent back) and also the later account overriding the reference on the first so that it disappears. Still an improvement compared to NatWest through, as Chase are prepared to allow you to enter a different reference without forcing you to delete the whole payee and start again.2 -
I can vouch for Chase instant savers as an excellent choice for a feeder. Bit of interest, not fussy about COP mismatches, allows you to rename payees as you please. Supports regular/scheduled payments (incl non-banking days) and even Direct Debits. Solid choice.

I’ve done the same for payees with my Starling acc. It’s very convenient for making faster payments at the start of a month.Angelica123 said:

Seems only a few weeks ago I was thinking about having to open regular savers paying less than 6%.Bob2000 said:Just some opinions, please.
I currently have three issue 3's of the principality: 6-month regular savers, which all mature over the next three months.
My plan was to transfer all the funds over to my online bonus triple access (issue 7) and then let it sit until it matures. But with the issue 4 6 month RS being released, l'm not so sure now.
My reasons is later in the year/next year use the funds to fund the Monmouthshire app exclusive 7%
Then the Monmouthshire 7% accounts came along. I wasn't expecting that rate to be beaten and was considering opening the branch version as well. Those two accounts would have accounted for most of my spare savings.
Now the new Principality account beats the MonBS rate (and is fixed rather than variable - but only 6 months worth). This will be the first account to be funded. Of course it remains to be seen if maturing Principality RS3 accounts can be converted into RS 4 accounts. If that proves to be the case most of my spare savings will be going there.
It is possible that the MonBS accounts will end up almost like feeder accounts, with money from maturing accounts being paid in there before being paid out to the Principality accounts.1 -
Re Principality issue 4, I managed a payment this month. Is it worth trying for a 7th payment ie 1/2/26 bearing in mind end date of account is 28/2/26.0

My rule of thumb is that money goes wherever it'll earn most. If the rate of an account with existing funds falls below or is superseded by other accounts, then I'll stop funding it and if possible move funds to places they'll earn more.As such, for the last few months the Natwest/RBS Digital Regular Savers have been raided bit by bit and are now almost empty, with the funds saved at 6% or greater. At one point I was strategically opening and minimally funding 5.x% savers but none of them were properly funded in the end.I suspect the MonBS 6% saver will in time become a feeder for the 7% savers too.0

Principality 12 month RS Bond matured this morning.I had received postal advice about maturity a few weeks ago, and online. I was offered the usual maturity accounts, and a 6 month RS. I completed an online request to open a 6 month RS, which was issue 3 on sale at the time, and for the balance and interest to my current account. Principality acknowledged this by post, including the full account number, name and sort code for my current account
Yesterday Issue 3 went off sale, Issue 4 arrived, I opened one and funded it.Lo and behold, today 12 month bond has matured and a nice new 6 month issue 3 (THREE) has appeared. From past experience I can expect confirmation delivered by the postie next week. Balance and interest has appeared in current account, heading for MonBS.Today is 29th August, and my new 6 month RS issue 3 account matures on 28/02/2026, not Saint David's Day.Principality need to make less use of Royal Mail, and more of their secure messaging system, especially when account holder has given maturity instructions online. Saved postage can go into higher interest rates.

I also managed a payment yesterday into my new Issue 4. I have set the monthly SO to run from 1/09/25 to last payment on 2/01/26. The maximum balance is £1200, so a payment on 1st Feb is likely to be rejected. But you can give it a try,s71hj said:Re Principality issue 4, I managed a payment this month. Update on Mon BS deposits ... spot on for me, app showed deposits the next day and online showed them a day later. I'm sure plenty on here will know this already, but just a bit of feedback for those interested!Bobblehat said:Bob2000 said:Basic question l know, but l funded the MonBS APP 7% RS at 7.50am this morning, but still no show in the app. How long does it generally take to show?
Mon CS said next day for showing deposits in the app and 2 days for showing deposits in the online system. I'll be testing these for the first time tomorrow for the £1000pm 7% app exclusive and the £500pm 6% Issue 8. And again on 1st Sept .... there goes another £3K frighteningly fast off to RS's!apt said:
I've also sent money today and it isn't showing.
