Just for anyone new to this thread, worth pointing out given the last few comments, that the Santander RS is only open to Santander current account holders

In addition to the above this account allows 1 withdrawal day per year plus closure as the previous Christmas 2024 RS did.

Apologies, I was rather short of time when I posted that (partly due to a poor internet connection) so forgot to add in that detail.

It will come as no surprise that the Santander Reg Saver allows unlimited withdrawals.

More importantly to me is the possibility that tomorrow we might see the launch of the new Furness reg saver......which looks to be a far more interesting proposition.

Not exactly "punch the air and shout Whoop!" is it. Will this be as good as it gets from other providers going forward?

Agree I was going to say exactly the same.
Ideal for those that want to save for Christmas but for those of us that collect regular savers....I probably won't bother.

It’s a bit sad we are now praising the merits of a 5% regular saver. Looking like the gravy train has hit the buffers.

Surprised they bothered launching at all with a rate that far off, given that Principality’s 7% fixed offering is still accepting applications and open to all. YBS accepts £25 more per month and allows a withdrawal for those that might have to curtail their Christmas plans should an emergency arise (but Principality also allow early closure.) So very little advantage in the YBS offering, and anyone saving for Christmas as opposed to collecting Regular Savers probably only needs one.
