    VM REG ISSUE 3
Just a heads up as I nearly got caught out. The sort code for this new account is slightly different to all my other VM accounts. Presumably due to the take over
fwiw, the sort code on my new RS3 is the same as all my other Virgin Money accounts.
I seems to depend which platform you're on. It looks like only sort code starting 82 are affected

The 05 sort codes are from Yorkshire bank, which was a much smaller outfit. The 82 ones I believe are from Clydesdale and they probably had a much bigger range.

Anyone made sense of the following? If you open and fund on 1st August 2025 and pay in £250 on the 1st of every calendar month, then after 12 months (31st July 2025) you would have a balance of £3000, with no interest having been paid yet, or at maturity on 28th August you would have £3250+interest. Or is it actually a 12 month term?

It says in the Summary box: 'Depending when you open your account the fixed term may be longer than 12 months" but still no clear mention of a 13th payment

Chorley BS has now replaced Monmouth as the outfit 'bringing up the rear' stakes. Of the 35 RSs I've filled today only their two can't yet be confirmed as safely received.

I made a note in my spreadsheet that on previous months it can take two days for the Chorley accounts to show the deposit.

I've triggered the Virgin Money anti fraud team, I'm on hold to them at the mo, I was almost done funding my other regular savings accounts too, meh, only had a Principality or 2 left to fund.

Hardly unusual behaviour to be honest I always move money at the start of the month to do this.

The only thing different is I've transferred out of the matured regular saver into my current account.
Spoke to someone and even said to the guy I was on webchat earlier saying I would be transferring money from regular saver today and out of virgin.

As soon as it seemed like I was getting anywhere I get cut off, the app now appears to be playing up, I'm now on my 2nd call, ARGH😤
Basically been told they can't call back if I get cut off & they can't do f all at the moment because systems are playing up & to expect a call back when they can do things, I had plans today regardless of funding other savings accounts 😔
Can you not just go onto online banking and empty it yourself. Much easier than having to call them.
I don't think you are getting what I've been saying, the phone lines are playing up, the app is down, fraud team can't even remove blocks etc on my account, Virgin are having major issues today, I've not got any hopes of them calling me back today
I wasn’t referring to the app, I meant online banking from their website
These problems make me glad that I emptied mine early, because I wanted to use the money to fund other regular savers today.

So applied for VM RS and been accepted, opened and funded.  Problem is VM current account is due to switch to Barclays for the £175 bank bribe on 5th August.  Anyone know what happens to a VM RS if you close/move the CA?  Will they even notice?!

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

I always wait for 2 working days before checking the arrivals for these two.

I imagine it is 13th payment.

    12 X £250 = £3000
    13 X £250 = £3250

But hey it's Virgin and given how today has gone who knows?

Yet again I can't open this regular saver on the day it came out because of their issues, last year I did get compo out of that plus I think 4p so might try again when they are back up and running along with further compo for not having access to my money as planned for today😏.

See what would normally happen should you trigger fraud is you call the bank and after being on call confirming details etc they would remove the block if you've actually done nothing wrong, Virgin can't even do that for me today because the systems are so bad
