Most likely for those of us who received that email (and didn't get an account opened for them in the first day or two) they'll be checking and dropping applications if people have already got an account set up.charlie12525 said:Want to skip the wait? You can now open your account instantly using our new Monmouthshire Building Society App. Applying on the app will override your current online application.Like many, I had problems on Friday opening this account. Decided to bite the bullet and apply by app... got to the end and got a message saying they "could not verify your nba details".Not sure what the National Basketball Association has to do with it?Gave up and will wait for the snail mail.2 -

Being nosey... How many Regular Saver accounts do you have? — MoneySavingExpert Forum5 -

This is all news to me. I don't do apps and originally opened a Virgin current account, which I don't use, to get an exclusive ISA. Later I got the regular saver. No knowledge at all of a Virgin Security key/device, I just assumed I'd be able to transfer money out in reasonably large amounts as with other current accounts I've held.subjecttocontract said:I'm puzzled,
Why would someone open a Virgin account and not ensure they have either the Virgin App or a Virgin Security key/device to enable withdrawals ?Quite.Always been able to access the website on the PC with the OTP sent by test.No indications in t's & c's of withdrawal restrictions or any information about a security key/device.1 -
Monmouth BS Reg Saver.........I'm in no rush. I don't care if they take 5 days or 50 days as they won't be getting any deposit money from me until they process my application. Seems like the disadvantage is all theirs.....1

NBA in this context stands for "nominated bank account", which is the bank account which you've identified ("nominated") as the account you want to use with the account to make deposits/withdrawals.clivep said:masonic said:

Nothing to do with basketball, although I do see where the confusion would come from if you're not familiar with the terminology.0 -

When the rate drops it'll drop for everyone on the same date(s). Every day missed is a day you won't get the headline rate, and will instead get a day at whatever rate exists in a year's time (not much if last year's Exclusive Regular Saver is anything to go by).0
