Unfortunately, she can only take out £500 per day as she doesn't have the mobile app. Apparently if she rings customer service they can help her move all the money in one go but just a heads up because if we're all doing that, their customer service is going to be a tad busy.
...For the ex-Clydesdale/Yorkshire platform there's also the option of having a security token device if you can't or don't want to use the app. You have to phone customer services and explain why you can't use the app to get one though.Too late this time as it will take a week or more to get one in the post.

I have the little security token device, so might be ok then to withdraw balance on Friday.0 -

I have the little security token device, so might be ok then to withdraw balance on Friday. If it still works then the daily limit should be the same £30k as the app.Not 100% sure, but I think without authentication the daily limit is actually £1000, but each transaction is limited to £500. So you can make 2x £500 payments without using the security token or app.1 -
I have the app, but it only covers 1 profile (I have 2 profiles, 2 RSs). There's always an option to reinstall/reregister, but I think I'll just go with the flow. The allowance is 2x£500 per day and having two current accounts in that profile I should be able to get it all out in 2 days.masonic said:
It doesn't bode well, does it? I think I might get the app set up in advance. Maybe do a small test payment.Aidanmc said:Hope there's not going to be issues withdrawing online on Friday when the Virgin RS matures to easy access.0 -
Apps are a pain in the ++++2

Virgin Reg Saver........I'm expecting to withdraw the balance sometime after the 1st August when the account becomes an Everyday Saver. The terms and conditions do not limit withdrawls to £500......unless I'm missing something. However this is Virgin and as others will have also experienced they can be particularly trying at times !0

However this is Virgin and as others will have also experienced they can be particularly trying at times !It appears to be a security thing. Upon installing the app, I was forced to agree (twice) to let it snoop on my location, other apps on my device, and how I used it, with all of the information sent off to some mysterious third party who then decides if my activity is suspicious. It forced itself into landscape mode, although all of the screens initially loaded portrait and then flipped irreversibly. It asked me to enter my full password a lot. But as I installed it on a burner device with no GPS, no biometrics, and just a graveyard of apps not worth keeping on my main device, I think I can live with that.1

Well I don't generally use apps. But I do have a Virgin security token device for logging in etc so I'm expecting my balance in full.1

Virgin Regular SaverCricketLady said:Just a heads up on the Virgin Regular Saver 10% that I know a lot of us have - my daughter is busy for the rest of the week so emptied her regular saver of £3134 to her Virgin current account today rather than waiting for it to roll into the easy access account, then set up to pay from her current account to her main bank account (Lloyds).
Unfortunately, she can only take out £500 per day as she doesn't have the mobile app. Apparently if she rings customer service they can help her move all the money in one go but just a heads up because if we're all doing that, their customer service is going to be a tad busy.
This isn't a major problem for her, albeit somewhat annoying as she now has to move £500 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday etc. until it's all out (she's on holiday and doesn't want to ring) but I thought it worth mentioning on here.
Best wishes
You can only take out £500 per transaction but up to a maximum of £1,000 per day. So 4 days max to withdraw the total at 2 withdrawals per day.

On the app on Saturday and the money was received in a few minutes. I applied to close the account to get at the final interest but haven't heard anything yet.trickydicky14 said:
And was this done online or via the app?Over62 said:I also emptied my Virgin Regular Saver account last weekend as I needed the money towards a new car before the account was due to mature. I was able to send the full amount directly from the regular saver account to my Lloyds current account without having to route it through my Easy Access account.1
