App is indeed back up, but this is what I see when I go in to general savings:
Is is that the app only lists it for existing customers? This is exactly the same as I saw at about 9:20am before the maintenance (already tried reinstalling).0 -

if I can open an account with them without sending any paperwork in the post, I might consider it - if they require paperwork to be sent as a new customer, and having been burned by a MBS experience before, i'll pass.

Not rubbing it in @masonic, but the MBS iOS app also allowed me to apply again. I now have 2 issue 8. I am holding back with funding this one until the first one is fully up and running. I have a dim memory of having 2 of the same MBS RS accounts in the past, even though their T&Cs have alway stipulated one only.2

I suspect it is the new customer angle rather than the device type that is preventing me from seeing it. They may want to put new customers through the slow lane to get that wet-ink signature. In which case it would be pointless applying for another account via the app to gain access to the RS. The whole process has been so convoluted stopping and starting via app and website. Upshot myself and my wife have both applied 3x, the version on the app after it got up and running finally leading to account opening and practically instantly appearing in accounts list. Will wait to see in next few days if we end up with 3 of them!masonic said:

I've applied online this morning. Now the app is working, so I used that and the account is now opened and showing. Re Monmouthshire BS app, the 2 factor thing is really weird in that you choose text message route but then have to choose it a 2nd time before you can put the 6 digit code on2
