waited till after 9, downloaded the app, applied for account and got the “system maintenance” message after the “we are processing your application” screen, so perhaps still some issues to be resolved!Save £12k in 2022 #54 reporting for duty0 -
Yes, that's what I've got now too. Before that, I only had 4 accounts listed in General Savings (the two notice accounts, the limited access and the instant access), so the devs must have been doing something that removed it first thing this morning. Maybe they've pulled it to fix whatever issue was tripping up the application process earlier. Have gone through the online route. It may be a bit slower, but I'm not too bothered about the start date so long as I don't miss out.flaneurs_lobster said:

App didn’t work for me either, I’ve gone the online route too. I won’t fund it anyway until near the end of August as I’m happy to have it maturing August 26 as have the new Dudley R/S maturing July 26, so good to have a bit of space between them.masonic said:

I tried to open it late last night on the app and got into the "processing" loop. Tried this morning and had the system message, so uninstalled and reinstalled. Then went to open the RS8, accepted the documents, and it said "processing", So it picked up where it left last night. I left it alone and after about 5 minutes of nothing, it came back with "account opened".
So anyone having app issues, try the reinstall route just in case.0 -

That's why I got up half-an-hour before I went to bed to get in early doors before you lot broke it.10 -
I got it to work in the app after 9am this morning.
Best advice I can give is be really really patient - it took around 4 minutes for the application to go process on my phone.If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

I’m not bothered by the opening date but given that the last signature form didn’t come with a prepaid envelope (and I don’t have one hanging around as no maturity imminent) I’m inclined to wait for the app. If this goes the way of Exclusive Issue 2 it wouldn’t be worth the stamp.
You’d have thought launching an Exclusive version first would have been a better way of testing their app. 6% open to all is a very good offer and will hoover up potential Dudley customers who weren’t able to get that account and also some that did (as Monmouthshire don’t require closing the account to get money out if they drop the rate.)3
