I suspect it may be a typo on their website as last time it was issues 55 and 58 reducing to 4.95% with Issues 56 and 59 going to 4.8% IIRC.moi said:

It must be. I saw it wasn't you, but they'd done it on their own site. Had to double check myself to be sure I wasn't going mad!Bridlington1 said:

Further to this I've just telephoned them and the initially slightly bamboozled member of staff I spoke to has had a look at the closed issues pdf vs the base rate announcement and agrees with me that it seems to be a typo and shall pass on the interest rate discrepancy to get it looked into.Bridlington1 said:

For now I shall omit the Leeds BS interest rate cuts from my interest rates cuts table and from the archived thread until I have final confirmation of the correct rates but I suspect it shall be issues 55 & 58 reducing from 4.95% to 4.85% with the rest slipping to 4.7%.5 -
Ecology BS are reducing rates on all their accounts by 0.25% from Wednesday 28 May 2025.2

Mansfield BS Bonus Regular Saver Issue 8My Mansfield BS Bonus Regular Saver Issue 8 is coming up to 12 months soon, when the rate will drop to 3.75% for the next 12 months, I understand. As this account remains the same regular saver after the 1 year point, I believe that I wouldn't be able to apply and hold the same account again. Has anyone been through the process of closing this account down and then applying for a new one ? If so, what was your experience ?I'm aware that this account is stated as branch and post operation only, so I would need to find my passbook, (if I have one) and post it in possibly with a closure/withdrawal form or a letter of instruction. But has anyone been able to do this through online messaging or an email or over the phone ?Thanks in advance.0

I've recently closed my second Mansfield Bonus RS.Born2Save_3 said:Mansfield BS Bonus Regular Saver Issue 8My Mansfield BS Bonus Regular Saver Issue 8 is coming up to 12 months soon, when the rate will drop to 3.75% for the next 12 months, I understand. I've not had any luck closing it online or by phone, each time I was told to send in my passbook. As my nearest branch is over 100 miles away I've opted for postal closure.
Closure is by cheque or transfer to another Mansfield BS account, or cash if closing it in branch. They can however split the cheque into smaller ones if you wish as I found when closing my tracker 90 account a while back (split into over a dozen cheques IIRC).
I also tried asking them to close a postal account by faster payment a while back and they sent me a letter saying if I wanted a faster payment there'd be a charge but closure by cheque would be free and asking me how I wished to proceed.
For closures there's no form, I just send my passbook in one of their prepaid envelopes with a small note (printed on the back of an old envelope) with the date, account number, and that I'd like to close by cheque with my signature on the bottom and they just close the account.
