App sure won't allow me, says I already have one open and can't apply for another until current one is closed, and even says this could take an extra 5 days...I found it strange that it let me, on the 9th the RS vanished as usual. So I though lets give it a try. It worked, a few pages back others have tried but not given any updates.Went through fine, Called Monday to see what was going on, and to give them a poke to hurry up.I was informed that the old one had paid out but was still open. When it is closed the new one should open.I hope you get a new one open soon.1 -

I also did the same thing with FD. My RS was maturing on the 11th (Sunday). It disappeared from my account on Saturday and I was able to apply for a new RS on Saturday. Funds were paid into an existing easy access savings account with FD yesterday. I am still waiting for the new RS to open - expecting it to do so tomorrow or the day after.1

12 Month Regular Saver ~~~~ NO CHANGE ~~~ Remains at 5%allegro120 said:Aldermore
In addition Aldermore Regular Saver Account (Issue 2) is now NLA, replaced by Issue 3 at 4.75%. All other Ts&Cs seem to've remained the same.4 -

This is how you can get the gap down to 0-2 days.Do you not remember participating in a discussion about this trick a year ago?3 -
I don't understand why there is so much interest in saving a day or two when opening a new FD account. £300 @ 7% = less than 6p a day in interest........what am I missing ?4

Leeds BS Home Deposit Saver (Issue 3) at 4.9% to go NLA within hours. To be replaced by Issue 4 at 4.8%. Other Ts&Cs seem to be remaining the same from what I can see at this stage.3

Other Ts&Cs seem to be remaining the same from what I can see at this stage.Just missed this, was thinking of opening it just yesterday.Up until now i have only been funding 5% and above regular savers, using my Coventry BS FHS issue 1 (4.85%) and maturing regular savers as a feeder. Now with the Aldermore RS rate cut to 4.75% thats the first one to go below.Although Coventry BS will prob reduce the FHS by 0.25% i expectTheres a few RS i dont have though, which involve opening current accounts, TSB, HSBC, First Direct, AIB, BOS, so maybe i will look into opening some of these. Wont qualify for any switching incentives as i've already had them.1
