    Edit - I've just noticed what's happened. I am sending money from FD Currect and the payment reference is showing as the same payment reference as the 6 month reg saver. Looks like somehow the xmas reg saver ref was over written & that's what was sent through hence why they've rejected it.
    Yes, First Direct does this if you have two payees set up with the same sort code and account number. They all update to the most recent reference used. It is rather annoying.

    It's more annoying than that, it only does it sometimes and it seems to be triggered by adding a new payee with the same sort/account. I've had to spread the funding of my gaggle of Principality RS across three different banks to stop stuff being overwritten.

    Might cull the £50/mth savers, not worth the hassle of manual monthly funding.

    I opened a Principality Easy Access account for this purposes as NatWest don't allow one to change the reference account number.. Transfer into Easy Access, wait a few hours, then Transfer from EA to the various other accounts. Simpler than spreading over multiple accounts.

    Does Skipton RS has a 12 payments limit (maximum of £3000)? I seem to be unable to pay the 13th payment.

    Yes, it does:
    "Any unused monthly allowances can be rolled over to future months, up to a maximum of £3,000 over the 12-month term" (from https://www.skipton.co.uk/savings/regular-savers/member-regular-saver)

    It may not be of much use to you, but Halifax allows multiple payees with the same sort code and account number; I have about 7 Principality accounts set up.  I assume Lloyds and Bank of Scotland will be the same, though I haven't tried it with them myself

    I can vouch for BoS doing the same.

    @Bridlington1

    Chorley BS RS 31/12/2025 Replaces 30/11/2025 NLA
    Same rate 5.15% variable, as reported earlier deposits now up to £400 pm

    (Though some parts of the website still say £300)

    For the record, KPI sheet as a pdf
    Thanks for the info. 3 questions……
    1) Can you make multiple payments in a single month (up to the £400) or just a single payment?
    2) Is it calendar month or do you have to wait a full month, ie: If opened on 10th of the month, can you pay in on the 1st of next month or need to wait until the 10th?
    3) How long do payments take to show?

    Sorry, never used Chorley before.
