I will be doing my first deposit to my new MH 1 Year RS issue 2 (31/03/26) tommorow. I already have MH 1 Year Fixed Term RS issue 1 (31/11/25) was going to obey the T&C`s that state:
"Customers may only have two Fixed Term Regular Saver accounts open at a time, either solely or jointly, with a combined maximum deposit of £250 per month not exceeding the maximum balance of £3,750.00"
It seems that MSE`s are depositing £250 in both issues.
I suppose you could argue that Issue 1 and Issue 2 are different named accounts and that £250 in Issue 1 and £250 in Issue 2 will be allowed each month?

Same here too, I did fund it though in December before realising the issue of the monthly payment.AndyTh_2 said:
Same for me too. I was otherwise just going to skip a January payment for subsequent payments to start 1st Febdcs34 said:
I tried this but got the following error message:ForumUser7 said:Coventry Loyalty Seasonal Saver
Those looking to have this account run by calendar month, (i.e. from the 1st of each month), a reminder that today is the day to open/refresh.
> Sorry, we are currently unable to close your account online. This may be because your account:- is not eligible to close online- has no existing eligible payees to receive the closing balance- is currently awaiting uncleared funds e.g. an uncleared cheque- is an ISA or a penalty based account opened within the last 14 days- may have a negative balance- needs both account holders to sign to close the account
I tried opening an easy access saver (just so it had somewhere obvious to pay the funds to) and adding this as a payee (which required setting up a bogus future payment, but this didn't seem to resolve the issue. Might try again later, not the end of the world if it doesn't happen of course.
I just tried to withdraw the money to see if it will help close it and it wants to charge me £1.23 for it, even though I am still in the 14 cooling off period. Guess I will have to live with it being the 20th for payment now.0 -
Yes same for me all morning. Getting a bit sick and tired of their glitches, and their inability to get their app working on any of my devices, and having to use desktop mode on my smartphoneKuchKuch said:Saffron Building Society
Anybody having issues doing an internal transfer from their Saffron Building Society accounts? Normally I'm able to do this in the app, but today I couldn't and logged in via the website to do an internal transfer only to get the error below:
I've been having issues doing the transfer for since I initially tried around 8am.0 -
I sent £250 to a Market Harborough Regular Saver from First Direct on the morning of Sunday 1st December and my statement shows it as being received on 2/12/24, I can find no reference in Mkt Harborough's online banking to 1st December whatsoever.Bobblehat said:
That will be interesting. Bridlington1 reports that ....Bigwheels1111 said:I made a manual £250 payment to MHBS today, after taking out a second Reg Saver last week. Its is not showing yet, will keep you all updated. The first Reg Saver like most are funded by SO, so I don't bother about them.I will see which date the credit is posted to my account.
"Deposits on non-working days: Treated as having been received the next working day."
I had sent £250 on Friday 1/11/24 and it showed as 1/11/24 as expected.2 -
Saffron RSI was under the impression that Saffron didn't allow movement of funds on a non working day so trying to move funds on New Year's Day would be pointless. I will be transferring money tomorrow the first working day of 2025.0

Plus the easy access accounts. Internal transfers from an EA account to the RSs works on the 1st OTM0 -
Internal transfers from an EA account to Principality and YBS work on the first day OTM. There are probably others like them.jaypers said:

Just tried to part pay January’s Skipton RS payment via Debit Card and it rejects it saying the amount is greater than the maximum allowed. I’m sure I’ve managed to do it before when the 1st was a non-working day, but it must be because the monthly allowance hasn’t reset yet.
I knew an internal transfer wouldn’t work (the remainder of the £250 is waiting in an EA.)0 -
Seems they're having issues today. Internal transfer also failed for me, with the same message.Kim_13 said:Just tried to part pay January’s Skipton RS payment via Debit Card and it rejects it saying the amount is greater than the maximum allowed.
