jameseonline said:This is officially the new thread for Regulars, Nick's isn't and just seems to confuse.
People are still posting in the old one.
I guess the only way to reduce the confusion is to lock the old one, maybe stick a old/archive name tag on it, make this new thread the same name and stick new name tag on it.
As for Archived History thread maybe rename to Archived Regular T& C's or something?
Even though things have already been explained in the threads, you still going to people still posting etc in wrong place until things are clearer in terms of thread title etc.
I just did, inadvertently!

@Bridlington1
Might I suggest
Regular Savers: Top Account Discussion and Regular Savers: New, NLA and Archived T&Cs - **no chat**
That'd join the two up rather nicely, and provide a better outline for what the latter exists to do, IMHO.

This thread is for discussing RSAs, both new and NLA.
My thread is purely for notifying people that new RSAs have been launched, and to allow these notifications to stand out and not be buried in endless chatter (such as "I got 2p interest more than you", or "I am going to try to abuse the T&Cs of an account by doing this"). This thread and mine should not conflict with each other.
I am sorry if you are confused but I don't see why. I have tried to explain the reason for my new thread clearly and simply. If you don't want to use my thread, then don't.
I don't want to bog down this thread with endless off topic chatter about whether or not we needed a new thread with a new purpose (we now have one), but if you refer to me directly or obliquely I will exercise my right to reply.

If it sticks and people posting it, all is well. If not, all is well too.Nothing official or not official, all MSE users has a choice to post or not to post where they like. Or they can start their own post announcing new RS.4 -
I did suggest to Bridlington1 that we needed a new thread to notify people of new accounts, but that was something he did not want to do. As he didn't want to do it, I did. No need for any conflict.
ETA: personally, I think further comments about whether we needed a new thread or not are unhelpful, and are now putting people off visiting this thread. Some self restraint all around might be useful.3 -
But we do kind of have a thread for notifying of new accounts - it’s @Bridlington1’s no chat thread I thought - it also will notify for rate changes and NLA which I took to be the same kind of purpose, unless I’m missing something.Seems the unofficial no chat thread is a chat thread anyway so not much point to it as far as I seeIf you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.
N.B. (Amended from Forum Rules): You must investigate, and check several times, before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my content, as nothing I post is advice, rather it is personal opinion and is solely for discussion purposes. I research before my posts, and I never intend to share anything that is misleading, misinforming, or out of date, but don't rely on everything you read. Some of the information changes quickly, is my own opinion or may be incorrect. Verify anything you read before acting on it to protect yourself because you are responsible for any action you consequently make... DYOR, YMMV etc.7 -
Before rushing to make judgements on these threads let's allow things to settle for a while. Any change is difficult but II am convinced that, with @Bridlington1's knowledge, input and experience, it will all be good.7
